Ghostriders: A Whiskey for the Gunship Tradition

Ghostriders honors the determined, courageous, and unsung professionals of the AC-130 Gunship mission. They operated, maintained, and supported that mission for more than five decades. In fact, the gunship lineage runs from the earliest gunships of the Vietnam era to today’s AC-130J Ghostrider, flown by Air Force Special Operations Command. The gunship community built its legacy by staying overhead when ground forces needed them most: on station, on call, on target. This bottle honors every crew member, maintainer, and support troop who kept those aircraft flying, generation after generation.

The back label reads like a roll call, listing the gunship models that carried the mission across the decades. It closes with an invitation any veteran will recognize: “Smoke ’em if you got ’em.” Also, handcrafted in Florida, this high blend embodies the Gunship Tradition. It’s a whiskey built for slow pours, long stories, and remembering the people behind the airframes.

Fittingly, Ghostriders comes from the same corner of Northwest Florida that the special operations air community calls home. Also, Timber Creek Distillery in Crestview, Florida, crafts it. This grain-to-glass farm distillery on the Panhandle ferments, distills, ages, and bottles it all on site. Timber Creek has produced numerous tribute spirits for the region’s military units and associations. As a result, Ghostriders carries that same standard of care. This is more than a themed label. It’s a small-batch Florida whiskey made a short drive from the flight lines where the gunship mission lives on. Pour one for the crews who flew into the dark so others could come home.
