Southern Reserve Florida Whiskey
This is our first Four-Grain Whiskey. The flavor profile is distinctly Bourbon, but with a rich complexity only found in a
Four Grain Bourbon. We start with our 100% Corn Bourbon Whiskey base and blend in our wonderful 100% Florida Black
Rye Whiskey to spice it up. We then follow up with a touch of 100% Wheat Whiskey to balance the sweetness of the Corn and Rye. And last we pull all of the flavors together by blending in our 100% Single Malt Barley whiskey which adds a round
buttery-ness to the final blend. This whiskey is amazingly complex and bold. To preserve that complexity, we bottle it at 100 Proof.
What is a Florida Whiskey?
A Florida Whiskey should represent the best that Florida has to offer, and therefore a Florida Whiskey must have the following characteristics:
1. Distilled from at least 90% local Florida-grown grains
2. Uses only Florida limestone spring water
3. Aged in the heat and humidity of Florida
4. Bottled unfiltered – to preserve the unique flavors
This combination of factors will produce a distinctly rich and uniquely Florida whiskey.
this is the BEST sipping Bourbon we have enjoyed, it bets Maker’s Mark
great use as a bourborita (a margarita recipe, but substitute the Tequilla
with this fine brew)…get the tender sweet edges, but opposed to other bourbons its corner
are well rounded in white gold tones…
Hey guys, I’m one of the cofounders of the Nashville Whiskey Society. I am looking to write a restaurant and whiskey review for our blog. I’m in Tosemary Beach until Thursday. Is there a restaurant that you would recommend that serves the reserve?
