The Bourbon Blending Experience at Timber Creek Distillery gives guests a hands-on way to explore craft whiskey. This guided experience puts you in control and shows you how to build a custom bourbon step by step. It blends education, tasting, and interaction into one clear and engaging process.

Start with a Behind-the-Scenes Distillery Tour

When you arrive, you begin with a behind-the-scenes tour of the distillery. During the tour, the team explains the grain-to-glass process in simple, direct terms. You see how the distillery handles each grain separately, which sets this process apart from most traditional methods.

You follow the journey from raw grain to finished spirit. You learn how each step affects flavor, texture, and aroma. This foundation helps you understand what you taste later in the blending session.

Explore Single-Grain Whiskeys

At Timber Creek, the team works with four core bourbon grains:

• corn
• wheat
• rye
• barley

The distillery ferments, distills, and ages each grain on its own. This process creates 100% single-grain whiskeys with clear and distinct profiles. Corn brings richness, wheat adds smooth sweetness, rye delivers spice, and barley builds balance and depth.

Because each whiskey stands on its own, you can taste the differences without confusion. That clarity makes the blending process easier and more precise.

Create Your Custom Bourbon Blend

After the tour, you move into the blending session. You taste each whiskey and learn how small changes affect the final result. Then, you begin building your own blend.

You choose your ratios. You test different combinations. You adjust the profile until it matches your taste. Some guests build a smooth and mellow bourbon, while others push for bold and spicy notes. You control every step of the process.

This part feels like a mix between a workshop and a tasting. You stay involved from start to finish, and you see how each decision shapes the final product.

Take Home Your Finished Bottle

At the end of the experience, you bottle your custom blend. Each participant leaves with a 750ml bottle of their own bourbon. That bottle reflects your choices, your taste, and your process.

If you want to keep experimenting at home, you can also purchase the Bourbon Blending Kit separately. The kit lets you continue building blends and refining your approach beyond the distillery.
